I try to look back at my own childhood memories and think about all the toys I absolutely loved to play with but sometimes it's hard. My mom remembers specific toys that I played with that I don't, and vise versa. I remember my Barbie dolls, for example, or a little white bear that rattled. I know my mom wouldn't know what Barbie doll I'm talking about if I even tried to ask. :) Our toys are a huge part of what develops & inspires our childhood memories.
I want to challenge myself in a different perspective & by using a different subject other than families & children in my portraits. I would actually love to gather all my photos of Aubrey's toys she loves and make a little picture or flip book of them so she'll always have them to look back on. Let's say it will be our not so average photo album to share just like long lost photos of my second birthday party!!
Most importantly, after capturing childhood memories for Miss Aubrey, I want to challenge myself & get my creative juices flowing to continue to change & grow. I would love to continue down my lifestyle photography at home with my family and branch off into other creative avenues. Week one I chose Aubrey's little people princess to focus on.
Her Nana & Papa got her snow white & the dwarves for Christmas and she absolutely loves them, I mean they're adorable! Recently Nana bought a huge Disney princess sticker book. Aubrey loves those stickers!! Every day she wants her sticker book, therefore almost every afternoon all on her own, she created her own masterpieces at a mere 2 years old. I really wanted to incorporate those in this week's photo because it goes hand in hand with Nana, the princesses, and what Aubrey loves to do!! So here's week 1's photo, Snow White & The Sticker Book.
I hope ya'll enjoy this photo challenge I've chosen to embark upon & follow our story & how it helps me live in the moment, get creative & learn to grow with Miss Aubrey & her toys!! I am truly excited about this inspirational challenge & I can't wait to reveal next week's photo. See you then!!
